0 Best 10-Inch Android Tablets Under $200 They Exist!

10-Inch Android Tablets Under 200

You don't have to take out a second mortgage or raise your credit card limit to get a new tablet. There are a ton of 10-inch Android tablets under $200 out there... if you know where to look.

Since a lot of these brands haven't really done much in the way of marketing here Stateside, you might have a bit of trouble finding them, even in Google. Fortunately for you, I've listed five of the best ten-inch Android tabs for less than two Benjamins. So you don't have to be made of money to enjoy some of the finer luxuries in life; such as a rousing game of Words With Friends as you recline in your favorite high-back chair, imbibing gingerly from your favorite Scottish pipe. Bolly good!

By the way, all of these models include 10-inch, capacitive multi-touch screens. (Or 9.7 inches in some cases, but that's splitting hairs.) Why? Because bigger is better!

Well, actually, it's simply because seven-inch tablets get enough attention. A smaller, one-handed tab is good for playing games or watching the occasional video while you're waiting in line for coffee or something, but not so great when it comes to typing up Facebook updates, replying to comments, or browsing bigger, expansive Web pages like deviantART.com. In these situations, a full-sized, two-handed, ten-inch screen gives you a bigger virtual keyboard and a lot more real estate to play with.

Netbooking is the current trend in the laptop world; and on the tablet side of things, a ten-inch screen strikes just the right balance between useability and portability. The models I've put together below will also find a balance in your budget, all under $200.

Ainol Novo 7

Since the rest of Ainol's Novo 7 line models have imaginative names such as Paladin and Elf, you might pass right over the Novo 7 Basic without a second glance. But check out the specs on this one! Especially compared to that Samsung model you might have had your eye on. For something so basic, the Novo 7 Basic is anything but, and makes a great jumping-on point for those new to the world of Android tablets.

Zenithink ZT-102

Also not to be mistaken for a basic model, the ZT-102 has a fierce form factor, borrowing judiciously from inspirations such as the Kindle Fire, but blown up to ten-inch size. It's also ounce-for-ounce a contender with Amazon's tablet, on paper, at least.

Cube U9GT2

Cube has an interesting name, a squarish tab, and an upturned nose towards Apple. Not content that the iPad 2 be the only pad in town with a 9.7-inch IPS ten-point capacitive multi-touch screen, they fitted the Cube U9GT2 with a screen that's identical to the iPad 2's in every conceivable way. Well, every way except the fact that Cube's tab is cheaper by a half.

Onda Vi10 Elite

Speaking of IPS screens that'll blow you away, Onda's Vi10 Elite boasts an ultra-HD screen resolution of 2160p. Without doing the math, that's a lot of pixels, and means your movies, pictures, and games will be sharper than life. Don't say I cried wolf if you find these somewhere going for more than $200; believe me, they're just over-capitalizing on increased attention and demand. There are still a lot of retailers selling these for the MSRP, which is just under $200.

Zenithink ZT-280 C91

Zenithink has taken the basic Android tablet, juiced it up on performance-enhancing substances, and released it on an unsuspecting world. It games well. It browses well. It glides between apps smoother than fine silk. And the machine has handled every file type I can throw at it; making it the ultimate portable music machine. Sure it's not small, trendy, or hip like an iPod; sure, it's not quite the ultra-high-def experience of a full-sized iPad, but that's precisely what I like about the C91; performance-wise, it eats iPods for breakfast. Everything about the C91 is built for performance, and usually, you have to pay a lot for something that performs this good. Not so, says Zenithink, at an even $199 MSRP.
