How it all began

Writing articles using cell phone technology was only a dream many years ago, heck cell phones themselves were just a dream in some little young prodigy's mind from yesteryear.

So when it emerged onto the scenes, it was a true amazing event indeed, I'm sure everyone who's old enough to remember back before cell phones were invented, them good ole beaper's, and them huge car phones (The real mobile phones, where that cool name originated from). Remember that!

The trouble that technology poses to many non-technical people today, and especially those folks new to smart phones, is that there's to much to focus on at once, so when we learn something on them, it's like a huge discovery as if we found something no one ever has before, like when Benjamin Franklin first discovered how to redirect the flow of electricity, with his kite electrical storm experiment.

The Cellphone Epiphany

How it all happened to me one day is, I was siting in the car on a bright summer afternoon thinking to myself, "What can I do with my cell phone". I can no longer afford to pay the bill to get the internet on it or send/receive calls, and without a wireless WiFi connection. All I could do is use it at home from my home's internet connection, pretty much my smart phone has become just a miniature camera (like in the old 007 James bond movies), as well as a video camera whenever I leave my house, "What a bummer!".

So I thought, well maybe if I had a word processing program of sorts, my phone could instantly be put to good use after all. Maybe just maybe I could possibly write a powerful article, while waiting for my wife, when she was shopping at the Gap clothing store on that ultra scorching hot summer day.

So, what I did, I broke out my trusty old
Android HTC Hero smart phone, I looked to see if the traffic cops weren't around, because I didn't want to get a ticket for parking illegally, while writing an article on my cell phone (I was parked temporarily at a no parking zone, go figure! with the hazard light on, at that).

Next I proceeded to my gmail account, now what made me think of doing that, who knows right. I thought to myself again, "Self, there must be a way to write, and compose an article with this cool gmail account, even though I had no internet to connect to, and no clue if it was at all possible."

The light bulb lit

Once this thought came to mind, I then decided to find a way to compose my article, even though I never ever done so on a cell phone. I struck the menu button, and next thing you know, I found a compose option thereafter. That's when the light bulb lit in my overly technical mind, and thought "Man oh man I'm on to something now."

I soon began to start typing profusely, and when I came up for air, I began to also look for a way to save the email I just created. "Ahah!" I then located the save tab on the bottom of the gmail compose screen, and walla it was done.

Arriving Home Safe

As soon as I made it home safe, from driving through the hectic rush hour traffic, I proceeded to place the car in park. Next I was determined to test out my theory of sorts, and taught myself how to locate that cool draft of an email file, by pressing the menu button once again, I got puzzled for a second or two.

Than this time however to locate the email file, I had to use some high powered thoughts, (Maybe I needed a helmet to wear, just in case something hit me while the car was in park). So it took a drop of luck, and slight technical skill to actually find that darn file, I actually guessed it, by simply pressing the folders tab option. (I didn't use the cell phone while driving neither, because that's against the law and highly dangerous.)

One more thing

Oh, I almost forgot, hit the send onscreen option, once you figure out how to access that saved email, and after your home wireless network comes on, since you should be in range, that's if you actually have wireless Wifi signals or even a internet access at home.

This new age technology is really unique, so when something as intense as this occurs to you, as what occurred to me here with my cell phone, you will begin to realize that there's much more than meets the eye.

The other thing about it all is when a person needs to make ends meet, they will find ways to make it happen, and that's when improvisation occurs in most cases.

Note: (To all drivers worldwide)

Please be advised not to park illegally anywhere or you may be facing a serious driving violation, and a huge ticket especially in New York City. Oh and never text on a cell phone while driving. (I only do it while in the parked position, at an official parking location mostly).

So if you get caught using your cell phone while driving, it may mean huge fines as well, just don't text and drive its against the law, and please be wise, don't talk on your cell phone while driving because there's some pretty heavy fines for that one, as well.

Here's the steps and how to do it all in a cool video I made, enjoy!
