Overview

These are apps I'm guessing most of you haven't heard of and hopefully won't already have installed. I have come up with 10 apps that I find useful and feel are essential to own if your are running Android on one or more of your devices. Most of these apps are free with the exception of two... maybe three. Lastly I should comment these apps are not in any particular order or ranking seeing as I feel they are all equally important. Whether you own an Android Tablet or Phone these are 10 apps you'll want to have.

ES File Explorer (Free)
This app allows you to view everything on your device. It also allows you to browse your SD Card's contents to copy, move, delete, rename, zip, unzip, and search any of your files. Not to mention launch, backup, and uninstall any apps.

Amazon App Store (Free)
To get this app you must allow the installation of non-Market apps by checking off the unknown sources box under Settings->Applictions on your mobile device or tablet. This is the same App Market used on the Kindle Fire and is available for download from Amazon's website Here. The best thing about this App Market is the FREE app of the day. Normally this app would cost you money, but everyday Amazon allows you to downlaod their chosen paid app free of charge. Also sometimes this market has apps you can't find on Google's Play Store.

4Shared (Free)
This is a file share app which you will also need to have the unknown sources box checked off. Not because it isn't available on the google app market but because you can download and install any app you desire from here for free.

Dropbox (Free)
This app is a cloud storage app which makes sharing your photos and documents extremely easy and convienient. It automatically Sync's the files of your choice so when you open your DropBox folder from anywhere you can view the files that have been saved. For instance if you take a picture on your phone or tablet's camera once connected to the internet it will automatically back that photo up for you to view from anywhere you have dropbox installed.

ClockworkMod Tether (Free) ProVersion($4.99)
This app enables USB Tethering directly from your phones internet connection to any Laptop or Desktop Computer. It also supports all operating systems including Windows, Mac, and Linux. Great application for those of you who travel a lot and don't want to pay for an aircard.

LogMeIn Ignition ($29.99)
This is more of an app for Tablet users, although it still will run on your smartphone it just displays better on a bigger screen. It works in conjunction with LogMeIn on your Windows or Mac machine (which is free) and allows you to remotely control the computer. Yes that means you can access any of your favorite Office Applications, such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, or view pictures and documents you have saved at home.

Scandit (Free)
Scandit uses the camera on your device to scan in a product's barcode and lets you compare prices which include online vendors and local shops incase it is something you need to have now. I can't even tell you how much $ this app has saved me to date. It is a must have app for anyone with a smartphone, seeing it's not really useful for a tablet unless you have a 3G or 4G connection.

Star Chart
($2.99)
A virtual Star Chart that uses your location to produce a realtime window of the universive around you. Have you ever looked up at night and wondered what star it is you are looking at? With this app you'll have that answer instantly. Again this requires a 3G or 4G connection so a phone is recommended over a tablet.

Swarm Torrent Client ($4.99)
The name pretty much speaks for itself. This app allows you to download bittorrents directly to your phone or tablet.

MP3 Music Download (Free)
Search and Download millions of free mp3 music files. Hear a song you liked on the radio? Get it free!

Conclusion

I hope you find these apps as useful as I have. If you don't have some of these apps I encourage you to download at least one or two and share your thoughts on them. Thanks for stopping by and if you know of any other apps we should check out please share.
